In summer, from January through March, water temperatures typically sit around 19–22°C, which most locals find comfortable for a decent swim, especially on a calm, sunny day. During spring and autumn, the sea usually ranges between 16–19°C, still swimmable for many, though you’ll notice the cool edge when you first get in. In winter, temperatures tend to drop to around 13–15°C. At that level it’s brisk, and while swimming is still possible, it’s better suited to hardy swimmers or those wearing a wetsuit.
